Social preview generator

Paste a public page URL. See a suggested CardURL card from its title and description.

What it is: a free, stamped preview of the title and description we would put on a card. No signup. Labels are Page URL and Read page.

Title

Open Graph image URLs — CardURL

Description

Absolute https og:image, width/height, twitter:card, redirects/auth/404, content-type/size, re-scrape — each claim cited. Test at /check. 7-day trial then $39/m

If that title looks right, finish Getting started and set og:image to your hosted CardURL URL. This preview stays stamped.

What this checks

Paste a public page URL and click Read page. CardURL fetches that URL and shows the title and description it would put on a suggested card. No signup. Free generator previews stay stamped.

Observed on 2026-10-19: https://example.com returned title Example Domain with no description; https://cardurl.dev/ returned this site's own title and description metadata. Use those two fields to decide whether your page's title/description are share-ready before you set a hosted og:image.

What this does not

  • It is not a production card and not a crawler view of your paid /og/… URL after Checkout.
  • It does not log you into an account, and paid auto ?url= only works on domains you verified (Getting started).
  • It does not simulate Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack, or X. Platform scrapers use their own rules, caches, and image sizes. Use the official tools below when you need that platform's preview.

When to use Facebook Sharing Debugger and LinkedIn Post Inspector

Use Meta's Sharing Debugger when you need to see which Open Graph tags Facebook's crawler scraped, any errors or warnings, or to trigger a fresh scrape after you changed markup. Meta's webmaster sharing guide (read 2026-10-19) covers testing markup with that tool: A Guide to Sharing for Webmasters.

Use LinkedIn's Post Inspector when a LinkedIn preview looks stale after you changed the page. LinkedIn Help (read 2026-10-19) says Post Inspector can refresh the URL for new posts, messages, and articles; existing posts keep the old preview: Use Post Inspector to refresh URL.

/check does not replace either tool. It only suggests a CardURL card from title and description.

Next steps

If the title looks right, paste your URL above, then start the 7-day trial and point og:image at your hosted CardURL URL. After trial: $39/mo.
